Our story began after a serendipitous meeting at Hyper Island. We founded
playgroundpeople with the wish of jumping into a new sector whilst shaking things up along the way.
Our unique process of making things happen through co-creation turns every project into an
explorative journey. We are keen to know why people behave the way they do and are determined to
make their experiences better.
We collaborate with a network of designers and bring
people together when the right project comes along. Among our playgroundpeople you can find digital

Francesca is known for her matter-of-fact-ness and is regarded as a factory of concepts. She can talk for hours about: Cities, workshops, tomatoes, and the perks of growing up by the sea.Before co-founding playgroundpeople, she studied architecture and sustainability sciences, and worked as an urban designer. She also taught sustainable urban design at KTH. All in all, Francesca has deep knowledge in system thinking and creating big visions.Francesca judges how a meeting went based on the number of times people laughed.
Nadine is well-known for her thoughtfulness and killer presentations. For Nadine, it’s all about digging deeper into the meaning of things and questioning everything that people believe in. Her intuition is rated 5/5.Before teaming up with Francesca to start playgroundpeople, Nadine studied textile design in Hamburg, Berlin, and Seoul and worked as a print designer within the fashion industry. Nadine delights herself by saving cats from the street in her spare time and loves to visit art exhibitions.
